Protect your brand in the UAE. Avyanco handles trademark registration end-to-end under Federal Decree-Law 36/2021 — search, classification, filing with the Ministry of Economy, examination, publication and your 10-year registration certificate.
A UAE trademark is protected only once registered. Trademarks are governed by Federal Decree-Law No. 36 of 2021, and the registering authority is the Ministry of Economy (MoE). Registration gives the owner exclusive use of the mark and runs 10 years from the filing date, renewable. Avyanco handles search, classification, filing, examination, publication and Madrid Protocol international protection.
A trademark — your brand name, logo or mark — is a valuable asset, but in the UAE it is only protected once registered. Trademarks are governed by Federal Decree-Law No. 36 of 2021 on Trademarks, and the registering authority is the Ministry of Economy (MoE). Registration gives the owner the exclusive right to use the mark for the goods or services it covers, and the legal standing to act against infringement and counterfeiting.
A UAE trademark registration lasts 10 years from the filing date and is renewable for further 10-year periods. The process runs from a clearance search and correct classification (the Nice classes of goods/services), through filing and examination by the MoE, to publication for opposition and finally the registration certificate. For brands operating across borders, the UAE's membership of the Madrid Protocol opens an international-registration route. Avyanco manages the whole journey — and the later renewals, assignments and changes — so the brand is genuinely owned and defensible.

Three strands of protecting a brand in the UAE.
A clearance search and correct classification of the mark across the relevant goods/services classes.
Filing with the Ministry of Economy and managing examination, publication and any opposition to registration.
Renewals, assignments and changes, plus international protection via the Madrid Protocol.
Six steps from search to certificate.
We run a clearance search and advise on the mark, the classes to cover and the filing strategy.
We classify the goods/services and prepare the application and supporting documents.
We file the trademark application with the Ministry of Economy and track its progress.
We respond to any examination queries or objections from the MoE.
We monitor the publication period and handle any opposition raised against the mark.
We obtain the registration certificate and manage renewals, assignments and any later changes.
A registered mark is an owned, enforceable, transferable asset.
Avyanco runs trademark registration as a managed process, not a one-off filing.
We clear the mark and classify it correctly before filing, reducing the risk of objection or refusal.
We manage examination, publication and opposition with the Ministry of Economy through to the certificate.
We advise on international protection via the Madrid Protocol for brands expanding abroad.
Renewals, assignments and owner changes tracked so protection never lapses by oversight.
Registered IP can support an entrepreneur Golden Visa application — we connect the two where relevant.
A single team for the brand's whole IP lifecycle, coordinated with your corporate structure.
Partner-level advisors covering trademark search, filing, prosecution and portfolio upkeep.
Three things that come up in every trademark engagement.

Searched and classified properly before filing, so the application stands the best chance of registration.
We carry the application through examination, publication and opposition to the registration certificate.
Renewals, assignments and Madrid-Protocol options handled as the brand grows and travels.
